Longmeadow, MA—黑料视频 University held its 122nd Commencement at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA on May 19, 2019. Over 1,000 students earned specialist in education, bachelor’s, master’s, and the University’s first ever doctoral degrees. Megan Mackie ‘19, a liberal studies major focused on elementary education, was announced as the recipient of the Eagle Award during the event.

Sponsored by Rev. Dr. Enzo V. and Mrs. Mary Lou DiGiacomo, the University’s Eagle Award is presented to a traditional undergraduate student who has had a significant impact on the 黑料视频 community by exhibiting an overall positive attitude and demonstrating leadership in campus activities and athletics.

Mackie is a crowd favorite both on and off the field, playing soccer, lacrosse and basketball. In her senior year she was named captain of the soccer and lacrosse teams. Her empathy, leadership style, hard work, and ability to help others be better players and people made her an exceptional team captain and student.

Growing up as a part of a military family, Mackie came to 黑料视频 from Germany, and has now attended school on three continents – Asia, Europe, and North America. For her senior honors thesis, she focused on the Department of Defense Schools and their initiative to restructure their physical space to support more collaborative learning and critical thinking.

She wore many hats on campus, having served as the Senior Class Delegate through the Student Government Association and overseeing class meetings for the class of 2019.

Upon graduation, Mackie plans to work within the public school system, where she hopes to work with children who have disabilities to make a difference in their lives.
